Providing a scientific basis for targeted and environmentally sound exploration and exploitation of mineral deposits in Greenland and Denmark. Programme areas include economic geology, mineralogy and petrology, geoscience maps, Danish raw materials and the Center for Mineral resources and materials (MiMa).

The Mineral resources programme includes contributions from the following departments at GEUS:
  • Petrology and Economic Geology
  • Groundwater and Quaternary Geology Mapping
  • Marine Geology
